Last week 140 invited an eclectic group of guests, to view '140
Reimagined', a sneak
peak at what will become THE place to be in the Perth CBD.
With Jamies Italian set to become the cornerstone of this new
development, guests
were invited to view the latest redevelopment plans to transform
140 into an exciting
urban village in the heart of the Perth CBD, with new bars and
restaurants connected
by original laneways and meeting places.
The evenings menu was designed and created by chef Daniel
Sterpini of The
Classroom in North Perth. First course was a sweet fig carpaccio
with goats curd,
crisp diced apple and pomegranate, sprinkled with micro herbs. The
second course
was zucchini fritters with cucumber and feta whip. Third course
was Atlantic salmon,
lightly cured, served in a smoking jar with scattered potato salad
and the final course,
bang bang chicken and shaker fries, with dynamite dust and
chipotle aioli.
The proposed transformation will see the alteration of a number
of architectural
elements to create a well connected and enticing space with
increased light and a strengthened structure of laneways and public
spaces.
